A Note on This Beer
May is upon us, and that means it’s time for Maibocks!
The name literally means ‘May Strong Lager,’ because 19th century German breweries crafted these crisp beers during the winter and released them in the spring.
Today, the Lager masters at Heater Allen have done just that. Grab your cans of Lenzbock, and enjoy the sunny spring weather while sipping a bright beer brewed just for the season!
Make no mistake — the crew at Heater Allen are true aficionados of the style. Their Lagers have earned shout-outs from Food and Wine and Vinepair, and, according to an Oregon Live Readers Choice poll, they brew Oregon’s Best German Style Beer!
You’ll taste all their Lager skills in Lenzbock. Classic Pilsner and Vienna Malts create notes of biscuit and bread crust, while a dose of traditional Noble Hops adds bright pops of tangy lemon zest and mild floral notes.
Not everything about May is awesome — the 3rd through the 9th is Root Canal Awareness Week. Seriously. But hey, flowers are blooming, the days are getting longer, and with a cold pint of Lenzbock in your hand, you can welcome spring in style.
