A Note on This Beer
Today’s brew offers a chance to be one of the elite few to ever taste a hoppy collab between two of the most highly-coveted IPA powerhouses, Anchorage and Monkish.
Named one of Paste Magazine’s Best Craft Breweries of the Decade, Anchorage creates some of the most sought after — and hardest to find — beers in the country. Each time they collab with Monkish on a new batch of Lines Double IPA, we lose our hop-obsessed minds!
Even Forbes buzzes about Monkish, declaring the California brewery’s “new school hoppy beers are among the best anywhere on the planet.”
Together, the two master crews gave this year’s Lines an all-new look — previous batches used 100% Lupulin powder (the oil-rich dust that coats all hops). This year, they brewed the soft n’ juicy DIPA with 100% Cryo Hops!
Cryo is the highly concentrated powder derived by freezing whole leaf hops and separating the lupulin and the vegetal bits to preserve the essential oils and resins. It’s over twice as strong as traditional hop pellets!
Anchorage and Monkish coax out potently sweet, fruity notes from a double dry-hopping of Mosaic, Citra, and Simcoe Cryo Hops. Juicy grapefruit, watermelon, and orange sherbet leap from the deep orange pour. The thick yet effervescent mouthfeel melts on the tongue. Its pillowy texture and dream-like flavors have always scored Lines DIPA 4+ ratings with Tavour members.
