About This Beer
For Madagascar Pineapple Upside Down, the brewers started with their beloved base aged in bourbon barrels. Then they conditioned it on Madagascar vanilla beans, pineapple, and toasted coconut for swirls of dessert in every swig.
Tasting Notes
Gorgeous vanilla oak aromas kissed with sunshiny fruit perfume the air with every pour. Let it warm, and you’ll taste silky cascades of crème brûlée, dark chocolate, and caramelized pineapple. Hints of baking spice add to the upside down cake nuances with a kiss of whiskey on the finish adding woody complexity. But unlike anything from your favorite bakery, this beauty hides a 12.8% ABV!

If I could have rated this higher I would have! Great thick vanilla flavor finishes it off.

The complexity of this beer is through the roof. The sip is velvety and smooth like any milk stout, and trickles over the tongue with a snap of sweet chocolate, but quickly turns into a coconutty bourbon right before swallowing, then leaves a creamy white chocolate-bourbon flavor behind to linger. This beer drinks like watered down whiskey, but tastes unlike any other milk stout you've ever had. Take your time drinking this one. I didn't, and now I've spent 20 minutes revising a beer review so it actually reads in English
