About This Beer
We’ve all heard nursery songs about birds baked into pies, but did you know “pie” was once the word for a bird, long before it referred to pastries? People lengthened the term to “magpie” once the baked goods took over.
Thankfully, today’s Magpie is all pie! Or as local Michigan taster @Monica P. puts it, “Mmmm. Apples and cinnamon all over this pie in a glass!”
To craft it, the masters at Starcut Ciders wove in real cinnamon to their crisp, sweet base juiced from 100% Jonathan apples.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of brown sugar, and baked apple crumble greet the nose, followed by caramelly sweetness and cinnamon spice on the tongue. It all leads to a dry, refreshing finish.

Does what it says on the can, but for me the cinnamon was a little
unbalanced and unpleasant. I think a little bit of sweetness might have helped here.

Super cinnamon apple cider pie nose, the flavor is missing a chunk, mostly light dry dry dryness.

Pretty bad. Like someone dumped cheap powdered cinnamon into some equally cheap cider.

Love love loved the cinnamon. The cider itself was a little less thrilling, but overall still enjoyed.
