About This Beer
Fonta Flora releases their take on this traditional Munich-style Lager just once a year. And it blooms with authentic Bavarian flavors, thanks to old world noble hops accenting locally-grown Pilsner, Vienna, and Munich malts.
Tasting Notes
Crack open a can, and aromas of freshly baked bread drizzled with honey leap out. The earthy hops add peppery nuances and a hint of orange blossom to the crisp, dry finish.

Tastes like a real deal German maibock, good stuff. I remember drinking a lot of maibock when living in Charlotte, NC must like them!

Very decent beer, I think its flavor profile shined around 50 degrees. I like what they were going for, but it didn't exactly land with me. I'm sure this is some one's favorite though. 3.75

Definitely not what I look for in a lager. Not crisp and clean. Very sweet and finishes with the flavor of broccoli. Not for me.

Smooth and crisp with hints of apple and honey. Great yeast and toasted bread taste afterwards

Gentle lager aromas with some floral qualities as well. The flavors are very honeyed and floral. A very perfect spring beer to enjoy in a garden.

This was a really good lager. Bready malts, subtly floral hopping. Lovely.

Flora sweetness to the brew.

Just a solid pint. Light notes of orange and lemon follow a smooth first hit, finished up by a nice crisp, sweetness. Can’t say I’ve had a “Maibock” before but this was a nice experience.

Daily corona battle. Long weekend edition. Plenty of lemony miscuity cleanness with sweet caramel and a super clean, sweet finish. Terrific use of the malt sweetness.

Nice, slight malt balanced well with hop. I could drink a pitcher easily

More flavorful than most lagers, definitely smell and taste the Granny Smith apples! Beautiful amber color and medium bodied.

Floral, green apple, slightly fruity aromas. Smooth, clean, expertly crafted lager. Well-balanced hops compliment the bready, citrusy notes really nicely. Lightly floral and finishes dry, but it’s so satisfying. Really fantastic maibock.

Aroma of lightly sweet malt along with some fruit notes. Toasted malt and light sweetness along with some earthy and spicy notes popping up mid palate.

Wonderful malt aromas and flavor. Balanced bitterness, delicious beer. I’ll have another.

Very full flavor. Almost has a breast taste to it.

Bready and malty with a lingering almost astringent finish for a Maibock.
Caramel present with lovely mouthfeel.

the nose gives me a ton of honey while it sits with bright but bold apple and orange

decent beer but nothing that stands out

Dense, malty, sweet, and tasting 50% boozier than it is – this is a maibock done right.

Smells a bit like pumpkin puree,
Then again like the stained end of a wine cork...
Tastes like a brown ale,
With a hint of artichoke.
Purplexing.

Light and subtle, like a Berliner weisse with a touch of floral notes. Tasty, unique and refreshing.

maibock should be on the maltier side, but this is just sweet.

Excellent! Perfect amount of maltyness, and hardly taste or sense the 6.4%, so goes down very easy! Loved it!

Nice floral profile with a nice finish.

Too much for me. Just not a flavor I can get behind. I find it startlingly similar to some English pale ales, but just way too rough a flavor, front to back.
