The brewers crafted this chocolate lover’s fantasy with fresh pineapple, aged it for almost two years in maple syrup bourbon barrels, and finished it on hundreds of pounds of toasted coconut. After one sip, I’m in love.

Flavor is of rich caramel, mesquite, oak, molasses, maple, pecan, walnut, coconut, and bourbon. Maybe a tinge of pineapple in there. This is really good. I wasn't sure what to make of a piña colada stout, but this works. Very nice flavor, slow sipper and definitely worth trying. I would come back to this.

Maple with hints of coconut and pineapple. Sweet, boozy finish. The pineapple and coconut become more predominant as it warms.

Good beer, but I added a little salt because it was kind of bitter and that helped. First comes the thick syrupy chocolate, followed by an alcohol bitterness, a coconut flake flavor, then the echo of pineapple. I have no regrets. Like slowly drinking a brownie infused with a little coconut flakes and pineapple sweetness.

Lots of action going on here and they pull it off. The coconut and pineapple combo gave me doubts but they’re super subtle and lift up the profile. Brilliant collaboration indeed.
