About This Beer
To craft this 10% ABV stunner, the brewers took their heavily awarded Qualified Quadrupel Ale and added real maple syrup to the brew. Then, they let it luxuriate in maple syrup barrels. Next, they spent countless hours aging, blending, tasting, and aging some more!

12oz can from Tavour. Dark brown, patchy, fine head. Sweet maple aroma. Taste also features the maple prominently, very sweet, woody malty. Boozy warmth late. You could pour this on your pancakes.

Whoa. On the same artistic level as pFriem's Smoked Maple Porter. The depth and balance of strong flavors is an experience. Definitely can tell the barrel aging vs pure sweetness of maple syrup.

Major maple syrup aromas with just a hint of oaky vanilla on the nose. Thick, rich, maple syrupy deliciousness with hints of charred oak and bourbon. Slight roasted malt bitterness and a sugary sweet finish. Taxman is doing some big things and I want more!

Does not disappoint with the maple flavor. Nice well rounded mix of flavors. Not too cloying sweet as can go wrong. Subtle bitter/boose in the background

+1 on the tasting the difference between maple barrel aging and maple syrup, maple complexity with way less sweetness/boozy-ness. Not as sweet as I was worried it might be, quite drinkable in my opinion (especially compared to some of the pastry stouts out there)

Very maple forward, in a nice way that really goes well with the quad style and malty notes. Has a bit of a pecan pie vibe, without the pecan flavor. Quite balanced and well done overall

There is nothing I hate more than pouring out a freshly opened beer, but holy shit, this is terrible. 100 percent undrinkable. It's like sipping Aunt Jemima straight from the bottle 🤢

Heavy maple syrup on the nose, complimented by that signature caramel sweetness on the palate. Despite the barrel aging, the ABV is not overwhelming, but can sneak up on you. It was a delicious evening
