About This Beer
Since a massive marigold bloom in 2022, the cheerful orange flowers have become something of a mascot for Fonta Flora’s Nebo, North Carolina taproom.
When the brewers conditioned today’s blend of 75% Appalachian Wild Ale and 25% fresh Saison on some of those added marigolds, they created a complex, herbal sipper that truly captures the local flavor. Finally, bottle conditioning with Brettanomyces contributed a soft natural effervescence.
Tasting Notes
You can expect tart quaffs to brim with funky layered nuances. Barnyardy hints of earth and dried grass ought to mingle with whispers of wildflowers, overripe pome fruit, and lemon zest. And oaky undertones should balance the tangy Ale while complementing its unique floral spiciness.
