A Note on This Beer

Here’s a fun way to find new delicious beer: spy on what the Tavour writers are drinking.

Tired Hands and Anchorage are two of the most raved about breweries in the country — both were featured in Draft Mag’s 25 Breweries You Should Know. When they teamed up for Migrating Eyes Peach and Apricot Mixed Culture Saison our writing squad drank up more of it than any other beer in 2018!

Our writers are craft super fans who have the pleasure of tasting incredible beers from all over the country on a regular basis. So when they find a beer exceptional, then you know it’s a real stand out.

Today we locked down a stash that the brewery has been aging in their cellar — and it’s even more tart and fruity than before. But we know it won’t be anywhere close to enough to satisfy our Stonefruit thirsty members. Honestly,  it may not even be enough for the writers.

See, Migrating Eyes is extra juicy, with a big 8% ABV, and a stonefruit-filled Saison base brewed with spelt for a rustic full-bodied mouthfeel. Real peaches and apricots combine with Tired Hands’ house culture for sweet tangy bliss and a subtle kiss of fruity funk — like biting into a ripe, drippy summer stonefruit picked right off the tree.

The brewers age it for 12 months in French Oak so that the woody barrel-induced vanillins add an extra smooth layer of depth to the finish.

You can’t get Tired Hands outside of their PA taproom, which is infamous for huge release day lines. And you won’t find this beer outside of Alaska thanks to our tight relationship with Anchorage.

Search any trade forum and you’ll find numerous craft fans (including our writers) “in search of” (ISO) both of these breweries separately… just imagine what’ll happen after word gets out that this juicy peach-apricot collab is back! Luckily you can get your share and bypass the chaos.

*This is batch #1 and it’s been cellared to fruity perfection by the brewers themselves.

Hazy, pale golden pour, small fizzy head. Aroma is stone fruit, fresh and full. Taste brings some tartness, gentle, light sweetness. This is very sublime.
