I had high expectations and sadly was slightly disappointed but overall it’s a solid beer . It’s sour and tart with lactose ,berry and crust flavor. Almost like a seltzer beer if that’s your thing. I would recommend

Pretty high up on the sour scale(which isn’t a bad thing). It literally tastes like a slice of tart pie. Has a nice color. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars, I’d buy it again.

The sourness is perfect in a way that doesn’t detract from the flavors of the other berries. I think boysenberry is a perfect choice that works well with the vanilla and cinnamon to give a nice dark, rich toasted flavor that is close to a sort of chocolate berry jam. Not so much pie, but definitely a dessert/pastry style beer that doesn’t sacrifice the namesake ‘sour’ style. Delicious in a very interesting way.

I very much enjoyed this one. My partner enjoyed the few sips I had shared with her as well. For a 6% ABV, I expected this to have a stronger flavor, but to my surprise, it was actually a well balanced light cherry flavor. The after taste was definitely delicious.
