When Modist and Barrel Theory teamed up at the 2019 Minnesota State Fair to brew a summer crusher, people lined up like kids at an ice cream shop:

The two master breweries crafted MN Brew Together Orange Dreamsicle with a fluffy barley and wheat base to start, then upped the sweet factor with a dose of real vanilla bean and silky lactose. 

Finally, to get all those citrus swirls, they hit the brew with real oranges and dry-hopped it with 2 renditions of craft’s juiciest hop: Citra and Citra Cryo!

And, it wasn’t just fair-goers that fell head over heels for this dreamy, orange citrus milkshake. 

Eater Twin Cities’ beer expert, Terry Horstman, lauded this Sour IPA creamsicle as a “Wonderfully Weird Newcomer To Try”. Growler Magazine and Biz Journal agreed, placing Orange Dreamsicle on their Minnesota must-try lists!
