About This Beer
In 1901, a 63 year old school teacher named Annie Edson Taylor sealed herself in a barrel and plummeted over Niagara Falls. And survived!
While that feat is arguably pretty badass (or maybe just really, really stupid) it still strikes me as a waste of a perfectly good barrel. Why stuff them full of teachers and huck them off of waterfalls when you could let the crew at Revision fill them with their beloved Monogrammatic Stout?
Tasting Notes
This brew spent a whopping 16 months slumbering in Bourbon barrels, and emerged with delicious flavors of whiskey caramel, dark chocolate, and a touch of roasty mocha. Hints of hazelnut and a touch of burnt sugar come through on the finish, lingering on the taste buds long after the sip.

Lots of bourbon and booze feel. Moderate bourbon flavor in a well balanced stout. Nice but not exceptional. Develops even more bourbon flavor and character as it warms.

Good combination of the bourbon barrel-aging and stout base. Dark fruit and a hint of chocolate.
