A Note on This Beer
Today’s Pale Ale is an incredibly special treat for three key reasons:
- First, Monterey Street has three back-to-back GABF medals — Gold, Silver, then Gold again!
- Second, it comes from Central Coast Brewing, a beloved San Luis Obispo brewery that emphasizes community — they even have an old Mercedes-turned-beer truck to share their creations at local events! Consequently, aside from Tavour, this beer doesn’t leave the Golden State.
- Finally, the brew packs all the depth and nuance of big, bold IPA but comes wrapped in a soft body with a delightfully crushable 5.5% ABV!
Brewed with Mosaic and Citra Hops, each sip of Monterey Street bursts with juicy notes of drippy pineapple, zesty orange, and luscious mango. Bright, botanical undercurrents with a bit of pine resin follow behind. A complement of sweet, roasty malt rises on the end for a rich, caramelly conclusion.
And, until you’re able to visit the Central Coast beer truck, we’ve got your stash right here!

Great IPA. Lighter than many, still with with great subtle pale ale tastiness.

As a local from SLO, I think MSPA is THE best ale of ales on the Central Coast of California.
