About This Beer

New Beginnings IPA is Anchorage going back to a tried and true recipe, with a Hazy packed with Thiol boosting yeast and double-dry hopping that with Motueka and Nelson Sauvin Hops. In the words of the immortal Semisonic, “Every New Beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”

Tasting Notes

It’s packed with crisp, aromatic notes of white wine grape and spritzes of grapefruit. The bright splashes of tropical juice are cooled with hints of clementine, making a delightful and easy-going finish that begs for another sip. Delicate hints of sauv blanc linger on the tongue.

Peach and auburn cordory peacoat. Collars in suede. Orange, grapefruit, and prunes. Juicy, short-haired Chihuahua-pomeranian mix.

This one is interesting. I get very light citrus and stone fruit on the nose…the palate DOMINATES with white wine, maybe a little tropical twinge. Not a favorite, but a light crisp example of a thiol introduced IPA.

Rich, dank, hoppy aroma. Bright, grapefruit citrusy punch on the palate giving way to plenty of resiny hops, and then a slightly sweet, creamy finish. I know most think of stouts when they think of Anchorage, but IPA’s is where I think they really shine.

Decent day down by golly. edition. Super easy and delicious Anchorage offering. White wine-y grape and spritzy earthy. Somewhat mellow, but super clean melon and tropical notes.

This is my new favorite IPA from Anchorage. Which is saying a lot! This super hazy, opaque tropical juice bomb is just too good. Not sure exactly what fruit flavors I taste but hint some melon and pineapple for sure. Creamy mouthfeel. Another win from AK!
