If you guessed Niagara Falls, give yourself a pat on the back!

Lake Effect Brewing crafted this BBA Oatmeal Stout to flow with (almost) as much malty force as the falls themselves. Every mouthful is a flavor flood of melty dark chocolate, creamy vanilla, and sweet bourbon caramel!

It’s unbelievable how ooey-gooey this beer is. The brewers didn’t even use any adjuncts! They squeezed all that pastry-like decadence out of simple malted grains, heaping additions of oats, a dash of Hallertau Blanc Hops, and a smooth ribbon of silky lactose.

The added bonus of not using any adjuncts is that the woody spice and notes of burnt caramel from aging the Stout in bourbon barrels really shine with every sip.

It’s as thick as motor oil, yet as fluffy and rich as a chocolate shake! Fans like @Todd G. are in disbelief that something so seemingly simple could have such impressive flavor: “Does this seriously have no adjuncts? It's cherry chocolate amazing! So delicious!”

Just like the real Niagara Falls, this Stout is a marvel to behold. In fact, I might venture to say that any one who calls themself a Dark Beer fan should experience it at least once. 

And, right now would be a good time to do it — you likely won’t ever see Niagara Falls Stout outside the Great Lakes region after today!
