About This Beer
The New Image team infused a roasty base with ripe Washington blackberries, then aged it in a single Laws Rye Whiskey barrel before finishing the brew with Tahitian vanilla beans. During the two years it spent in oak, the initial tannins smoothed out, bright fruit turned jammier, and the chocolatey base melted into whiskey-soaked velvet.

Tastefully incorporated adjuncts play well with the base stout and rye barrel. This would pair superbly with crème brûlée.

Pretty good beer. The vanilla and rye really calm down any bite blackberries may have and really melds everything together in an almost ribbony smooth combination. Solid, well done stout.
