About This Beer
“Nordic Noir is what we imagine a film noir movie would be if it was a beer - dangerously dark, sneakily drinkable and mildly brooding in nature.” - The crew at Cerebral
But don’t worry, this Baltic Porter is soft, smooth, and oh so approachable. It’s as thrilling as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, or any of those other new-school ‘nordic noir’ crime flicks, but way more delicious.
Tasting Notes
Hints of molasses and coffee drift through the sip, with notes of tiramisu following behind. A touch of bitterness on the end keeps the brew balanced, and if you let it linger on the palate, mysterious flavors of anise, toffee, and date slowly unfurl.
The brewers added plenty of oats to the mash and fermented in a foeder, so it’s all wrapped in a package so smooth you might find yourself sipping it slowly while staring across the fjords and quietly contemplating life. Or at least that’s how it will make you feel.
