About This Beer
The story of this Sour Ale began when Dave Coyne of Obelisk Beer Co. came up for a visit, bringing some of his brewery's precious mixed culture with him. He and the Holy Mountain crew used that stellar blend of microfauna to ferment a soft base in oak barrels.
They then conditioned the beer on second use Malbec grape pomace before bottling it up way back in April of 2023.
Tasting Notes
We’re expecting mild tartness with lightly fruity notes — think lemongrass, zesty citrus, and plum. Hints of earthy funk and hayloft aromas should add complexity and depth on the way to a dry, tangy finish.
