A Note on This Beer
When two Portland powerhouses join forces to throw a Pilsner party, you have to accept the invitation! Especially when both breweries specialize in crisp, bubbly, summertime brews.
Occidental Brewing focuses almost exclusively on classic German styles, sitting at what Oregon Live calls “the forefront of a resurgence in the popularity of Lagers.” And Wayfinder is just as celebrated — they’re one of Thrillist’s Portland Breweries You Need to Visit ASAP!
A visit might not be in the cards right now, but you can still taste both of these breweries with Northwest Pilsner!
This clean-drinking summertime sipper is every bit as refreshing as you’d expect, but the brewers stay true to their Pacific Northwest roots with a bold dose of Oregon-grown Strata Hops.
Bright notes of lemon zest and a hint of dank melon make this Pils far more complex than its European counterparts, while the smooth finish and notes of toasted bread keep it anchored in tradition.
If you can’t make it out to Portland for this Pilsner party, just get a fridge full of this crushable brew and call a couple of buddies over for a summer shindig of your own! But be careful who you invite — once they get a taste of Northwest Pilsner, they’re liable to slurp down your whole stash.
