A Note on This Beer

Forest & Main co-founders Daniel Endicott and Gerard Olson specialize in Saisons. Theirs aren’t only some of the best in the style — they’re some of the top beers in Pennsylvania, period!

GQ named one of their stellar Saisons the best beer in the state!

The Philadelphia Inquirer placed another one as the Best New Beer at the Philadelphia at the annual Brewvitational Awards!

A lucky few of you Tavour Farmhouse fans can snag a funky-fresh taste of Forest & Main in an extremely limited 3-pack — only 168 bundles are available!

Marius Peach Barrel Aged Saison (2020)

The brewery uses local fruit to craft this funky stone fruit zinger. This vintage features 400 lbs of peaches from the adorned Three Springs Fruit Farm. Forest & Main brews the base beer with barley and spelt from their tried and true neighbors at Deer Creek Malthouse. Then, they ferment it with their foraged yeast culture.

Finally, they age it in wine barrels with their mixed culture. It’s peach pie filling meets funked out oaky vanilla.

Noza Barrel Aged Saison

This is a cheery Saison collaboration with Forest & Main’s good friend Zac Ross of Marlowe Ales. They brew it with an assortment of barley, triticale, oats, and buckwheat — all from Deer Creek Malthouse. Then, they hop Noza with their attic-aged hops, and fresh Saaz and Opal. Finally, they ferment it with their foraged yeast culture and age it in wine barrels.

The results yield notes of delicate cherry pits, French oak, tamarind soda, sweet tarts, sweet red bell peppers, and an evolving funkiness.

St. Mary Reserve Saison (2020)

This is a taproom favorite on both sides of the bar because it’s just so unique and delicious! The brewers start with barley and triticale from Deer Creek Malthouse. Then, they hop this batch with fresh Saphir and Opal before fermenting with their foraged yeast culture.

Finally, they condition St. Mary with their mixed culture for naturally tiny bubbles. Fireworks of funky, ripe honeydew melons, wild pear cider, Juicy Fruit gum, apricots, and psychedelic pasta water burst across the taste buds with every sip!

If your super Saison radar is flying off the charts right now, here’s one more reminder to move quickly: there are only 168 of these 3-packs available!

*These bottles are highly carbonated, refrigerate for 24 hours before opening and open over the sink.

Funky and tart, hints of leather, hay, oak and lemon-lime. Dry, clean finish.

VERY good naturally fermented beer. Reminiscent of a Lambic in my opinion. The lemony scent and funk from the wild yeast was awesome.
