A Note on This Beer
Every summer, Kent Falls Brewing Co. invites locals to join in a fresh hop harvest festival at their Connecticut farm and tasting room. They roast a pig, host a live bluegrass band, and join together to celebrate the start of the fresh hop season!
Best of all, they use that harvest to craft their annual Campland table beer — a highly-anticipated Farmhouse Ale made in collaboration with a special guest brewery!
To craft Campland (2019), Kent Falls teamed up with the highly-regarded crew at Allagash Brewing, who brought along Maine-grown wheat and oak barrels from their 4+ UT-rated Coolship series.
The two teams concocted a recipe for Sour success:
- Stir in 100 lbs of fresh-picked Brewer’s Gold and Chinook Hops
- Sprinkle in a smidge of coriander
- Add KFB’s house mixed culture
- Cellar carefully for a year…
- Finally, you’ve got the first-ever oak-aged Campland, with even more funky-tart complexity!
If you can’t make the trek to the harvest fest, this is your chance to get a taste of the brewers’ magic. Crack open a bottle with your circle and join Kent Falls in celebrating agriculture, friendship, and — of course — good beer.
