A Note on This Beer

You may have heard Munich’s Oktoberfest is, once again, canceled this year. But, go ahead and whip out your beer stein anyway — we’ve got you covered!

See, the brewers at Rahr & Sons are renowned for their own Oktoberfest celebrations, particularly when it comes to their seasonal Marzen-style Lager. While you’d normally have to go to their Texas brewery and run their annual Bavarian-themed 5k for a straight shot at their Oktoberfest brew, we’ve got a stash of the 2021 release right here.

Time to break out the lederhosen! Rahr & Sons crafts this Marzen in the traditional style, layering it with malty sweetness and rich flavors of toasted biscuit and caramel. Noble Hops give Oktoberfest just a whisper of floral notes on its smooth finish.

If you think it’s still a little too early to start stocking up on the festbiers, keep in mind that the real Oktoberfest starts in September. Besides, this seasonal release is super limited, and Rahr & Sons brews don’t often leave Texas as it is!

Malty and bready, hints of biscuit, banana and clove. Hops are almost transparent, highlighting the malt above all else. Finishes lightly dry and sweet, not a hint of bitterness to be found. Yum!!
