A Note on This Beer
It’s always exciting to feature a new brewery and today we’re extra stoked because:
- Collective Arts is located in Hamilton, Ontario, outside of Toronto, and one of the first Canadian breweries to be featured at Tavour!
- The first beer we’re sharing from them is a collab with the dark dessert beer experts at Voodoo Brewery, who make two of BeerAdvocate’s Top 10 rated beers in Pennsylvania!
- Together the breweries craft this beer with bittersweet cocoa nibs and Cassia bark (also known as Chinese Cinnamon) to give it some deep, dark chocolate, fudge flavors with a kiss of spice.
- It’s aged in Bourbon Barrels for 21 months for layers of caramel-vanilla depth!
- We have less than 54 cases to go around!

Impressed with this one. Tastes of cinnamon and bourbon barrel. Nice body, but not a THICCC BOY.

I bought this and it was not in my box. This one was pricey so really annoyed.

Nice cinnamon flavors, but surprised by the lack of barrel for being in there for two years. Very dry finish. Good, not great.

Was a little afraid of the cinnamon but was incorporated well into the beer. Good beer

Delightfully rich and complex. Start with a chocolate roasted sweetness, backed with Bourbon aroma. Pitch black opaque color with a low full brown head. The flavor is the star, chocolate syrup, but not too sweet. Full rich roasted biscuit grain, with a touch of coffee. Slight alcohol heat from the Bourbon and high ABV. Sweet finish and slight spiciness from the Cassia. Really opens and becomes more complex as it warms.

Deep roasted nut flavor that was delicious. Earthy and smooth at the same time; and wonderfully thick.

I found this one to be extremely delicious! If you've ever tried goose island Blurbon Stout, this is a subtle version of that. Goes down smooth with that Oak barrel taste still mixed in. I really enjoyed this craft!

Yummy! Got a hint of chocolate and cinnamon on the nose with a bourbon taste and pleasant aftermath!
