About This Beer
This small batch, 4.41 UT-rated Paraboloid (2022) takes that classic brew to brand-new heights by aging the base for two years in a blend of 14 year Old Fitzgerald bourbon barrels and 18 year Sazerac rye whiskey barrels.
Tasting Notes
All that exquisite wood masterfully accentuates the beer’s signature dark chocolate, cherry, and vanilla notes with sublime whiskey-oak undertones. Hints of raisin pepper the finish, while a roasty malty backbone holds the whole sip together, never once letting the boozy 15% ABV obscure the flavors.

I’m a fan of the regular Parabola and was looking forward to this brew. I got lots of coffee and cacao initially and the bitterness never went away for me, found it more akin to a coffee stout. Probanly wouldn’t buy it again but it wasn’t bad, just prefer the regular Parabola.

Flavor bomb. Between the core stout flavor, the insane amount of barrel and the ABV heft m, this was damn near perfect.

Delicious. Complex. Good finish.

Tons of bourbon and rye up front in aroma with roasted malt in there as well. Barrels are star of the taste with chocolate all around.

heavy ethanol taste

Espresso-foam head, leather aroma with a hint bourbon and fudge, tart cherry, dark chocolate, and vanilla tastes, smooth mouthfeel, and a peppery spice rye finish with a warming alcohol sensation.

so much barrel but not enough on the pallet to back it up.
I love the aroma but the flavor and mouth feel falls short

More woody, roasty aromas than the standard 2022. Slightly thicker pour, light tan coating. Rich mouthfeel, notes of fudgy chocolate, vanilla, some rye, and cherry.
