Some say the Grisette style takes its name — which means ‘little gray’ — from the color of the stone border between France and Belgium, where the brew was born. Others say it comes from the gray color of the aprons worn by the folks who served the beer to thirsty groups of dust-covered miners.

No one knows for sure, but one thing’s certain: you don’t have to spend all day busting rocks to enjoy a refreshing sip of today’s award-winning Grisette. The crew at Threes Brewing didn’t make it for working, they made it for simply Passing Time. 

The brewers conditioned this brew for 8 months with a blend of wild yeasts, creating an easy-drinking beer that’s a little bit tangy, a little bit fruity, and a whole lot refreshing. Take a sip, and you’ll discover nuances of bright lemongrass and hints of crisp melon and pear. On the finish, funky barnyard notes mingle with a whiff of fresh-baked bread. 

If you’ve got a lot of mining to do, this is the beer you’ll want when the day is done. But, we think it’s even better when sipped on a porch swing, watching the sunset as a gentle breeze rustles through the trees.
