About This Beer
Crafted with creamy peanut butter and luscious, locally-sourced honey, this Imperial Stout showstopper might actually be a Braggot.
Braggots are Meads with heavy portions of beer or vice versa. Though centuries old, these decadent marriages of honey and malt are still often some of the most revered beers a brewery can offer. Peanut Butter Keeper is no exception!
Tasting Notes
Decadent currents of dark chocolate cascade into treacly honey and gooey PB on every velvety quaff. It’s like a bite of fancy peanut butter and honey toast lathered with Nutella and layered with honey roasted peanuts –– all hiding a buzzing 15% ABV!

as others have said the after taste was just bizarre.

This tasted pretty awful. To add insult to injury this was sent to me by mistake instead of the Kolsch I ordered.

This was one of the worst beers I've ever tasted

I think I’d rather have a Keystone Light. I’m disappointed Tavour offered it at all and charged the customers $12 per can.

enough peanut butter

this was a really bad introduction to a brewery it tasted of rotten honey a faint amount of peanut and an aftertaste of what I would describe the smell of nail polish or hairspray I hope their other beers don't taste this bad it's sad that I had to say such horrible things about a beer and brewery but I gotta be honest it's terrible...

I'm usually very forgiving, but I can't possibly deny that something was fundamentally wrong with this one. The taste/aftertaste was completely off and way too much of an ABV % on top of it.
Tavour/Sig Brewing - do better on this to not offer something that is this difficult to get down (since this is usually mentioned, UT rated 3.3 which is very very low for a craft beer) when people are paying $10-15 for a can.

I love honey, and love peanut. So why is this beer so off putting?

I’m sorry but this is god awful. crazy boozy though so at least you get drunk quick.

sweet. tasted the peanut butter and honey throughout consumption. nutty after-taste which wasn't most desired. overall not bad

Really terrible. It has a very strange artificial smell, like if one of those Circus Peanut candies was dipped in the chemical smell of a bandaid. The initial flavor is sort of as billed, peanut butter/ boozy oversweet honey, but the aftertaste is extremely foul. Poured it out. Not a skunked beer, just nasty additives. Shame on Tavor for this one.

Honey is very prominent and slightly overwhelms everything else. Peanut butter and stout are a little overwhelmed.

Serious question, but did anyone at Tavour taste this before agreeing to sell it?
