A Note on This Beer
Spokane, Washington’s Humble Abode Brewing opened their doors in 2018 with a tiny, single-barrel brewing system. Then, they upgraded… to 3.5 barrels.
So, if you’re wondering why you haven’t heard of this crew, there’s your answer — their hyper-limited batches never leave Spokane! In fact, our stash of Peanut Butter Porter represents the first cans from this locals-only secret to ever leave the Evergreen State!
But, while the batch sizes might indeed be humble, this richly nutty Porter tastes downright proud. Maybe even a little boastful. And deservedly so — the lucky locals who can actually get their hands on this stuff rate it an impressive 4.27 on UT!
They can’t get enough of this finely balanced brew! The roasty Porter base conceals hints of espresso and baker’s chocolate that uplift and accentuate bold peanut flavors from real peanut butter AND super potent peanut concentrate. The body is light, with just a slight sweetness — it’s a beer you can drink a pint or two of without your lips feeling sticky.
And, because of the approachable 6.3% ABV, you don’t have to wait until right before bed to do it.
If you ever find yourself in Spokane, we highly recommend a stop by the cozy, wood-accented brewery. When you order a beer, there’s a good chance that either Matt or Courtney Gilbreath — the brewery’s husband and wife founders — will serve it to you personally. Then, they’ll ask your name and chat for a bit, because that’s the kind of place it is.
Until then, you can snag a couple of cans of Peanut Butter Porter and be among the first outside of Washington to discover Humble Abode.
