About This Beer
To make this inky sipper, The Bruery began with a base of Black Tuesday Imperial Stout. They fermented it with destemmed Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon grape skins and must to infuse the brew with plenty of vinous character. And a year of aging in French oak puncheons allowed it to develop that luxurious smoothness.
Tasting Notes
Each nearly-still taste begins with rich, vinous nuances of black cherry, cranberry, and dried plum. Whispers of leather and smoke assert themselves mid-sip. Then it gently fades into ganache tones accented by hints of peppery spice and oaky vanilla.
