In just a few short years, Barrel Culture Brewing and Blending has reached legendary status among North Carolinians. 

Launched by a group of friends who bonded over their love of craft, Barrel Culture carved out its own niche in the state’s beer-soaked scene. The brewers’ organic, fruit-heavy, artisanal styles earned them national recognition as one of BeerAdvocate’s 50 Best New Breweries mere months after they opened! 

Perhaps most legendary of all are BC’s barrel-aged, mixed fermentation Sour Ales. These coveted brews are kept in-house, and craft fans travel from all over the Carolinas to get a taste. 

So, we’re still in disbelief that the brewers let us have a stash of today’s Pie Time: Bramble for Tavour! 

This is only the 6th iteration of their pastry-inspired Pie Time series, and it’s extra special. The brewers say they “doubled down” on their normal fruit quantities, and absolutely packed the brew with raspberries and blackberries. They also conditioned it on Madagascar vanilla and graham crackers for bountiful crust and whipped cream flavors. 

This jammy treat tastes like a fresh-baked berry tart! 

It’s the first beer we’ve managed to get our hands on from Barrel Culture, and we sure hope it won’t be the last. Are you ready for a slice of this legendary pie?
