A Note on This Beer

Want to hear a secret?

Hops are only part of what makes an IPA great. There. We said it!

And, now’s your chance to taste the truth up close. This innovative bundle features four IPAs with the same hops, but four different yeasts.

To be clear, Pliable Process is a Hazy IPA with delightful melon, peach, and tangerine flavors from Cashmere Hops in the boil and dry-hopped helpings of Citra and Mosaic. But, the real excitement comes from Main & Mill Brewing’s collaboration with their St. Louis neighbors at Omega Yeast for the following strains:

Cosmic Punch Yeast

This brand-new yeast strain is exclusive to this beer! Cosmic Punch really does pack a “punch” of juicy aromas and vibrant notes of passionfruit, grapefruit, and guava.

British Ale V Yeast

Considered a gold standard for the plush character of New England-style IPAs, British Ale V contributes both haze and residual sweetness that recalls candied fruit. Yum!

Hornindal Yeast

Hornindal is a kveik yeast, which means it stems from centuries of Nordic Farmhouse beer-making. Now you get to enjoy its pineapple and dried fruit esters in more potent form alongside the tropicality of this modern IPA. Thanks, Vikings!

Sundew Yeast

Omega Yeast describes Sundew as having a “pure, juicy red-fruit bouquet.” Pliable Process serves as the ideal platform for flaunting this, as the yeast’s enticing strawberry and pear characteristics pair excellently with the hops’ stone fruit and citrus flavors. Delicious!

The result is four ridiculously juicy IPAs that brim with fruit notes, but at the same time taste incredibly distinctive. Whether you do a side-by-side tasting, or decide to savor each one individually, your taste buds will appreciate the flavorful power of each yeast choice.

On that note, it should go without saying that this is a truly unique IPA pack — something we haven’t seen the likes of before. Next time your buddies start going on about the latest “hot” hops, you can smile and say, “Hey, want to hear a secret?”

Locals routinely flock to Missouri’s Main & Mill for their expertly crafted IPAs, but it’s the brewers’ tendency to skirt tradition that has Sauce Magazine calling them “one of the best-kept secrets in St. Louis beer.”

Daily corona battle. #CountryLyfeProbs box delivery edition. Citrusy but mild and mellow all around. Smells terrific , goes down smooth and easy. Just also pretty thin and somewhat lacking.

British Ale - 3.25/5: fruit on the nose but lacks fruit flavor. Sundew - 4/5: Not much on the nose but huge fruit flavor! I prefer this yeast variation over the British Ale V Cosmic Punch - 3.5/5: Not as hazy as the Hornidal variation. More carbonated. Less developed flavors in my opinion. Some passion fruit flavors there. Hornidal - 3.75/5: pineapple notes and tastes of tradition! Reviewed live at twitch.tv/brewedforgaming

not great fresh, but the flavors emerged after 30 days which is unusual for an IPA, especially a quasi NEIPA. Peach flavor is subtle on the backend, citra up front. Not enough bitterness for an IPA this big and is very sessionable. would not buy again, unless I saw it on tap somewhere for cheap.
