About This Beer
The growling grizzlies at Anchorage Brewing created a juicy, tropical DIPA from the far north that you’ll be happy to attack.
They fermented Pray for Prey with thiol-boosting Cosmic Punch yeast to amplify its lush potential. Dry hopping with Motueka and Sabro nuance the brew with citrusy and smooth aromatics.
Tasting Notes
Overripe pineapple, passionfruit, and mango layer the golden haze with dank tropical vibes. Deliciously zesty lemon-lime notes and rich coconutty accents weave through the fruit, creating a hop-forward piña colada vibe in each thick sip.

Hoping Canes are prey edition (but don’t pray for em.) Sabro shines, cosmic punch provides some tropical kick. Anchorage good as always, smooth and creamy, clean finishing.

Feelz like ABC is changing the game lately. Combo here has a new fresh zing for the genre. Dare I say Alaskan IPA could be a new tag?

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 8/4/22 into a snifter.
Look- Straw, frothy white head, very hazy, no visible particulate, average head retention, above average lacing.
Smell- Pineapple, melon, passionfruit, very slight coconut, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Pineapple, melon, slight coconut, watery/thin flavor at finish, between weak and medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Between thin and medium body, average carbonation, low bitterness, soft, creamy, no astringency.
Overall- Great look with a nice hazy straw color. Bouquet was dominated by pineapple and melon, but was pleasant. Flavors were nice, but not vibrant. Feel was a little thinner than expected, but the lack of any astringency was very appreciated. Overall solid beer, but I would expect much better than solid based on price and reputation of the brewery.

a solid hazy. the cosmic punch in it helps bring a bit of a sour kick
