Unfortunately for Homer, there was no candy beer in Springfield. But you don’t live in a cartoon, which means you can snag yourself a couple of cans of PRRRT the Rainbow and sip your skittles along with a 7.3% ABV!

The crew at Drekker has gone totally candy crazy for the latest brew in their PRRRT series, but don’t worry — they didn’t skip the fruit. The brewers supplemented all those real skittles with plenty of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, grape, lemon, lime, and orange!

Tasting Notes

If there’s an orchard inside Willy Wonka’s factory, the fruit that grows there probably tastes just like this. It’s tangy, it’s tart, it’s epically fruity, and the candy sweetness really keeps things balanced. Crack this can, and you’d better be prepared for a tidal wave of flavor!

Look- Burgundy, opaque, medium pink frothy head, plentiful visible particulate, above average head retention, above average granular lacing. Smell- Raspberry, grape, lemon, high strength of scent. Taste- Grape, raspberry, orange, lemon, very sweet upfront transitioning to a sour finish, high strength of flavor. Feel- Between medium and full body, very sweet upfront transitioning to a sour finish, average carbonation, smoothie like, moderately mouth watering finish. Overall- Pleasant look with burgundy color and above average head retention. The bouquet and flavor was exactly what you would expect when dumping a bunch of Skittles into your hand then throwing them all into your mouth at once. This was exactly my modus operandi with a bag of Skittles in my young days. The feel was smoothie like and enjoyable. While drinking this beer it was as if I hopped in Doc Brown’s DeLorean and returned to my childhood for a brief moment!

Very good, but not one of Drekker's best. Too heavy on lime. The skittles are a nice touch, but are a bit light.

Incredibly fruity, with every addition present and discernible - the lime perhaps a little more so. While it’s not quite the Skittles experience that I was hoping for, it still provides a candy grab-bag’s worth of flavor.
