A Note on This Beer
Today, I checked the calendar and lost my marbles.
Summer’s nearly over! And, there’s no way on this great earth I’m going to let these final weeks go to waste.
So, I’m throwing on my Tommy Bahama shirt, grabbing my Costco tiki torches, and stocking up on brews to celebrate all the goodness summer has left to offer.
Luckily for me, it seems the dexterous brewers at White Elm had the same late-August realization. But, instead of refusing to change out of their flip-flops, they channelled their end-of-season energy for good.
They packed today’s Pulpagogo Cherry Lime Fruited Gose with 100 lbs per barrel of lush key lime and sumptuous cherry purée. Next, they add a bit of lactose for a pillowy-soft mouthfeel.
Let me tell you, it tastes just like a blended cherry-limeade, perfect for a backyard, sun-soaked BBQ. Each sip swims with plush swells of tart key lime, followed by cooling hints of drippy red berry.
But beware, summer-savorers. Unless you live near Lincoln, NE, the chances of getting your paws on a can are slim to none.
The Beer Connoisseur and The Beer Travel Guide feature White Elm as one of the Best Breweries in Nebraska!
*HEADS UP from the brewers — always chill before opening to avoid any sticky spillovers! White Elm intentionally fills all their cans to the brim and highly carbonates them for your enjoyment.
