About This Beer
The Anchorage crew started with a rich, chocolatey base before aging it in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels for nine months. Then they transferred it to Woodford Reserve Double Oaked bourbon barrels for an additional seven months. They moved it again to fresh Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels for another 11 months before finishing it on banana and toasted coconut.
Tasting Notes
Notes of dark chocolate, whiskey caramel, and vanilla oak abound in every thick sip. Nuances of spirit-soaked bananas foster gorgeously blend with tones of coconut-rolled dates. It all phenomenally hides the bold 15% ABV.
