A Note on This Beer
Looking to spruce up that beer cellar or have an ace-in-the-hole at the next bottle swap? If so, today’s BA Imperial Porter will have your dark beer buddies going crazy!
Day after day, Ribbon of Darkness (2021) lurked in the darkest corners of Crux Fermentation Project’s barrel chambers. Half a year later, the Bend-based crew unearthed the beast!
To craft it, the brewers wrapped its chocolate and Midnight wheat-laced body in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for six whole months, imbuing decadent whiskey notes into the Porter base.
Each quaff begins with smooth chocolate flavors. An opulent, mouth-coating sensation of brown sugar and molasses follow, with pleasant hints of vanilla at the end. After the taste, the belly warming finish invites another complex sip of this brew’s 11% ABV body.
So go ahead, snag a bottle of Ribbon of Darkness and become the envy of your craft-loving friends! Just do it quickly — this beast can't be captured outside of the Oregon taproom. Not to mention, the last time it was released there it sold out in less than a day!
And we only have 10 cases to share. Which doesn't exactly help your beer snatching odds.
