A Note on This Beer
I’ve enjoyed countless brews with odd names over the years, but today’s can from Pennsylvania’s Abomination Brewing is by far one of the strangest.
I mean, come on. “Rotting Earth” is probably one of the most bizarre names I have ever heard. But considering these guys are all about the wow factor, it’s not really surprising.
Whether they’re brewing up an Instagram-worthy, Robin’s Egg Blue-colored IPA or naming today’s juicy brew something wholly peculiar, they’re blowing minds and winning over fans all across the East Coast.
So, of course, I jumped at the chance to share today’s 9.3% ABV Double IPA with you all.
Despite the name, lucky PA locals who’ve snagged a taste are drooling for this 4.06 UT rated quencher, are calling it out as “Excellent” and “Juicy AF.” And I expect Abomination’s fanbase to grow exponentially after our thirsty members get a taste.
Crack the can on this abomination of a brew and take in the aromas of Valencia orange and lemon zest that waft from the thick, OJ-like pour. Take a sip and notes of tangerine and dank papaya swirl around layers of ripe cantaloupe and pithy grapefruit. A touch of resinous pine disappears behind a mouthfeel so pillowy soft, you’ll want to dive in again and again.
So snag a couple of cans, invite over your buddies and pour them each a taste. I dare you not to bust out at laughing at the looks on their faces when you tell them the name of this masterfully crafted juicebomb.
