A Note on This Beer
After trudging up a long trail to a high, rocky outcrop, the best thing to do is sit back, take in the view, and crack open a cold can of Rugged Outlook IPA.
Few things compliment a stunning vista like the OJ, pineapple, and dank mango flavors that course through this brew’s uber-soft, oat-filled body. Plus, you can smile at all the other hikers who will stare enviously and wish that they’d brought beer, too.
And even if they had, it probably wouldn’t be nearly as juicy and smooth as Rugged Outlook. The brewers at Humble Forager loaded this Imperial IPA with absurd amounts of Vic Secret, Galaxy, Citra, and El Dorado Hops, so it tastes like a tropical juice blend with a touch of pithy bitterness on the finish.
They also gave it a bold 9% ABV, so you only have to carry one to use as a summit sipper — and that means a lighter pack!
If the only hiking you plan to do is between the beer fridge and the back porch, Rugged Outlook will taste mighty fine there, too.
According to October Magazine, Humble Forager’s IPAs set an “incredibly high standard.”
