This is a well done, but simple, barrel aged stout! It has a good smooth body with a pleasant depth that is similar to a typical oatmeal stout and a very enjoyable dark flavor with a tasty, faintly sweet, mild whisky barrel character to it.

Took a few sips to get used to, feels heavier than 9.4% but maybe that's the barrel aging, I'm not usually a fan of barrel aged, and might not have got this one had I noticed, but it was good. As many others have mentioned, a very solid stout.

For the ABV the barrel is quite present in a good way. The beer doesn’t really lack in any aspect, tastes exactly like an imperial oatmeal stout aged in whiskey barrels. Not sweet, nicely bitter and roasted Mouthfeel is smooth and not thin.

Barrel aged boozy oatmeal goodness. This is the first of many left that will be beers of mourning. Tavour can no longer deliver to my address due to the local carrier halting delivery of dank beer to my doorstep. 🍺😢

Very bourbon forward almost to overpowering everything else. Chocolate and caramel flavors are very subtle and mostly lost.

This was very WHISKEY forward. Wish it had been aged in bourbon barrels instead. Bitter, roasty, coffee-ish. Not my cuppa stout.

This is a solid 4 the BBA definitely helped kick it up a bit from the regular Boris but it’s still to thin to her above a 4 and lacks the depth in beers I have rated higher in this category
