Chocolate cake batter color with lacy tan head. Aromas of brownies, sugar plums, cherries and Mexican vanilla. Taste is thick with mix of melted dark chocolate, espresso and cinnamon. Lactose mouthfeel with imperceptible ABV. Wonderful!

Rye barrel is delicious with the imperial brown. Dry brown finish really plays well with the high gravity, some barrel aged sweetness but not too much.

absolutely love this beer. pFriem does an excellent job making well balanced beers. this Imperial Brown is caramel, sweet, and the barrel flavor is center stage, though all the flavors play together nicely and none are over baring. lots of flavor but very drinkable. this beer is not syrupy like some barrel beers.
