About This Beer
The Seattle team began with a blend of mixed-culture Saisons aged in oak. Then they refermented the brew in freshly-emptied red wine barrels with red raspberries grown by Spooner Farms, just one hour south of the brewery.
Tasting Notes
Imagine tangy, underripe raspberries accented by vinous Cabernet notes, and you have a pretty good idea what you’re in for. Zings of ruby-hued bramble fruit swirl through the sour sip, morphing into complex, funky notes of red wine, horse blanket, and hay. A touch of tannic oak gives the finish a delightfully dry snap that’ll keep you coming back to your glass again and again.
