About This Beer
To create it, the famed Oregon brewery started with a base of four different specialty malts along with Belgian dark candi sugar. They fermented the beer with Dupont yeast, then aged it in French Cognac barrels for four months before finishing it on Spanish cedar spirals.
Tasting Notes
The result is a malt-driven tapestry of peach, pear, and vinous red grape flavors accentuated by hints of red pepper and oak. Notes of candied citrus and oak add depth and complexity on the way to a caramel tinged finish with almost no acidity.
