A Note on This Beer

Everyone knows not to bug me when I’m hangry. My fuse becomes as short as an iPhone cord you try using in bed. I’m basically a walking Snickers ad!

But, with a beer like today’s, I don’t need a crunch candy bar to get me quickly satiated. Listermann Brewing’s drool-worthy Stout is the newest addition to my emergency food pack.

Subtle peanut flavors complement the luscious caramel and rich chocolate notes that are mixed with just a hint of lactose. It tastes like a creamy, choco-drizzled, nutty feast all in one bottle!

Wife and I loved it! Thought the flavor was perfect and not over-powering. We’ve never had a stout like this before and look forward to more. Peanut, caramel, and chocolate are all there.

Didn't really get the nutty or caramel flavor. As far as a stout goes this was pretty average. Sorry, I just had higher expectations from the description

This beer does a decent job of accomplishing a peanut taste and after taste when drinking it. Personally if I’m trying to achieve a peanut butter taste in alcohol you’d be better do with certain whiskeys, but this one isn’t too bad. It isn’t all that sweet which is a bit disappointing considering that a bland peanut flavor isn’t that appealing to me, but it isn’t bad by any means. I’d get it again if it becomes available.

We had two listermanns in a row and they both tasted exactly the same (one had more of a bad coffee taste) and were solidly bad, like drinking the ashes of burnt peanuts. Not sure if we just received two bad beers, but can't say I will try any of their other stuff again, unfortunately.

It tastes like somebody put peanut butter cups in stout. A bit rich though, so you gotta be ready for it.

This beer got a raw deal. We drank it following a peanut butter Yeti, which may have been a mistake. I think I have another one of these to try, if so I will try it after not having chugged 22oz of hazelnut butter.

Not sure what this beer is trying to do. Peanut was indeed subtle but I did not get caramel or chocolate. Some people marvel at its taste which makes me wonder if my bottle missed something. I couldn't find flavor cold or as it warmed.
