About This Beer
Even in the elite company of Cycle’s other Weekday Stouts, Saturday is an absolute ripper. Last year’s rendition was the top scoring variant of all, and this year they took their Saturday REAL serious. By blending it in four separate top-of-the-line whiskey barrels (Eagle Rare, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2020 & Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Chocolate Rye), people are already raving for the delicious addition to their Saturday best.
Tasting Notes
Complex flavors of the four barrels lead into ridiculous amounts of bourbon richness. First comes the charred oak, then laces of silky vanilla, then a hint of bourbon caramel and chocolate fudge sweetness on the finish. A lingering note of Chocolate fudge.

myoungil, buddy, what is up w all the 2.5 ratings? You have been doing this for some time now. 2.5 is not "good", it's trash. You're screwing up the rating system, man!
My rating: This is good. Above average, even. Heavy baker's chocolate. Light roast. Whiskey and barrel is there, but simply not enough. I feel like the barrels used for this aging program have worked better in other beers. Shame as OF Birthday is probably one of my favorite bourbons when I can afford it.

Outstanding blends of barrel-aged stouts. Bourbon fits so well with the stout base. Nice chocolate malts with dark fruit notes.

was pretty good but not as good as I’d hoped - the flavors were almost too tame - didn’t live up to the description of the tasting notes.
