About This Beer
The acclaimed crew began with a base of four different specialty malts and hopped the wort with Tettnager, Hallertau Blanc, and El Dorado. Then they fermented it with Belgian Ale yeast and pineapple-forward Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and aged it in Sauvignon Blanc wine barrels.
Tasting Notes
Smooth expressions of tropical fruit mingle with nuances of pear, melon, and earthy dried lemons in each refreshing sip. The barrels provide complex oaky vanilla and green-grape notes all the way to the snappy finish.

The cork shot off when I loosed the wire without even touching it lol. Light bodied, pours like a Belgian (lots of head). I had the wrong glass for aroma, but I got bright, crisp, pear and watermelon for flavor. Very enjoyable

Light and mild Belgian perfect for summer. Sauv Blanc notes come through subtly.

Very tasty ale. Not too strong and complimented the spicy chicken thighs for dinner.

Barrel-aged in Sauvignon Blanc barrels. Notes of charred pear, dry lemons, tropical melon, and slight fruit punch.

Dryness and flavors of white wine. Notes of pear, apple, lemon pith, and tropical flavors (pineapple, coconut, guava). Light-bodied and extremely effervescent. Not my favorite of pFriem’s beer/wine hybrids, but a pleasant and unique experience nonetheless.

Sweet, fruity, and slightly funky in the nose. Nicely dry with notes of lemon, honeydew, and hints of natural marshmallow. This one is really interesting and fantastic. Pleasantly surprised.
