About This Beer
Anchorage got together with their friends at Horus Aged Ales to create this intricate blend of barrel aged dark brews. They started with Horus’ triple oaked Imperial Stout aged for 28 months in amburana barrels — a Brazilian hardwood known for its alluring baking spice and vanilla nuances. Then they added an Anchorage triple oaked Black Barleywine that matured for 25 months in a selection of Buffalo Trace, 18 year Knob Creek, and 1792 Calumet Farms bourbon barrels.
Tasting Notes
Look forward to rich, treacly raisin and molasses tones accentuated by hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and tonka from the barrels. Expect cocoa-y undercurrents that sing in harmony with dried mission figs, a whisper of espresso, and belly-warming bourbon caramel.

Honestly not crazy about this. Tastes like chocolate coconut. I'm told it's very bitter
