A Note on This Beer

Thin Man Brewery is all over my social media feeds, so of course the trending innovators at Cinderlands teamed up with them — they’re working with all of the cool breweries these days.

These two rising star breweries didn’t whip up any-old-thing — not a chance. They crafted a rarely seen, double-digit ABV, single-origin, gourmet coffee beast of an Imperial Brown Ale!

It’s called Send It In, and to make it, they used specialty malts up the wazoo: Maris Otter, Oat Malt, Brown Malt, Crystal, Dark Crystal, Chocolate, and Pale Chocolate. Depth? It’s got plenty! And there’s more!

Next, they added the fancy stuff: Pioneros De San Agustin coffee sourced and roasted by Intelligentsia — beans the aficionado website Coffee By The Roast calls “truly fabulous coffee.”

It’s not every day you encounter a mammoth coffee monster in a crazy-drinkable Imperial Brown Ale body. Then again, it’s not every day breweries like these two get together!

Great malty flavor with coffee notes. A little sweet but nicely blended. Chocolate flavor from the malts comes later after slight warming of the beer and are wonderful.

Very nice brew. Loads of roasty coffee, toffee and chocolate hit the tongue. The 10 percent is buried under tastyness

Smells like a glass of cold brew. Body was a little thin for my taste but the flavor was very good!

Perfect 5. Haven't had an imperial brown ale that can match this. Superb coffee flavor. Gourmet. Smooth throughout. Would have again in a heart beat.

Aroma has a bold amount of rich coffee and bold nutty hints. The flavor consist of roast, nuts, and lasting earthy coffee throughout the sip. For a brown ale the body is medium plus. Lots of lingering coffee. Real enjoyable. Pairs well with apple pie.

One of my favorite beers of all time. It was a well balanced brew, and there was a slight, perfect bit of sweetness that brought it all together.
