After seeing the name of today’s beer, I know what you’re probably thinking: “What in the heckity heck is Lulo?”

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. 

In fact, when the US Open Beer Championship medalists at 903 took to Instagram to announce the newest release in their highly-coveted, 4+ UT rated Slushy series, that’s all anyone kept asking. 

Turns out, it’s a rare fruit native to Central and South America that tastes like a cross between rhubarb and lime. 

And when it’s paired with additions of real pineapple, passionfruit, and mango, the result is so tart, tangy, and tropically juicy, it gives Jamba Juice a run for its money!

Texas locals lucky enough to snag the first sips can’t get enough of this South-of-the-Border flavor fiesta:
