A Note on This Beer
The popularity of Australian and New Zealand-grown hops is absolutely booming lately. And, it’s breweries like Pennsylvania’s Levante who are helping drive this delicious paradigm shift.
Their South Pacific Hop Cartel showcases some of the rarest and ripest hop harvests from the Southern Hemisphere, partnered with one of America’s most celebrated.
So you can better grasp what’s in store for you, we’re breaking this hoppy peach-berry daiquiri down, hop by hop:
- Nelson Sauvin — These are perhaps the most famous of all New Zealand-grown hops. As the name suggests, you can expect a subtle stream of white wine grape flavor in every sip, along with juicy drops of ripe peaches.
- Galaxy — Often considered Citra’s Australian cousin, Galaxy Hops are adored the world over. Look for potent notes of passion fruit and strong orangey citrus swimming throughout today’s South Pacific.
- Motueka — A.k.a. “B Saaz Hops,” these tropical buds from New Zealand have a lot in common with their Czech counterparts. With each swig of South Pacific, they tickle your taste buds with subdued spice and a kick of lime zest.
- Mosaic — Deemed “The Fruity Hop Variety That Changed Craft Beer” by Kegerator.com, Mosaic is arguably America’s favorite hop. Once you taste its pine and berry medley alongside the other flavors in this beer, you may find it’s your favorite, too.
These visitors from the South are increasingly finding their way into hopheads’ pint glasses — and into their hearts. Now, aren’t you ready to welcome the South Pacific and taste the hype for yourself?
