A Note on This Beer

Out of 400+ breweries in the state, The Denver Post named Black Project Colorado Brewery of the Year because of their arsenal of top-notch Sours!

Today, we’re sharing FOUR Sour Ales from these dexterous brewers. All of them deserve to be sipped and savored with those who will appreciate it most. That’s why we’re offering two cans of each!

Imagine: you crack open your cans of SPIRIT. With a delicately subtle 4.7% ABV, it’s just the easy-going brew to get the tasting started.

Diving in, you and your closest craft buds chat about the “insane amounts” of jammy raspberries and luscious peaches Black Project used during fermentation. One sumptuous swig after another, hints of ripe stone fruit flirt with swirls of tart raspberry.

Once you’ve emptied your glasses, it’s time to try NIMROD. You absorb the layers of delightfully tart flavors from the real plums and sweet cherries the brewers crammed into this sipper. On the finish, a subtle funk begs another sip. Clocking in at a sessionable 5% ABV, it’s a beer to keep the evening rolling.

Now, it’s time for the final two Sours of the evening, ORION and GRIZZLY. Both of these BP brews come with a cheek-warming 6.3% ABV boost!

The group can’t stop eagerly chattering about ORION’s combination of real drippy peach, sweet pineapple, tangy raspberry, and puckering lemon and lime. Not to mention the luscious additions of Madagascar vanilla beans, and the Citra and Mosaic double dry-hop!

With each gulp, layers of silky, smooth vanilla blend with a light, tropical splash of citrus, and refreshing berry hoppiness.

Finally, GRIZZLY mellows the tastebuds with subtly sweet bursts of plump blueberries and peaches. With its subtle funk and refreshing berry flavors, this brew is well-suited to round out the evening!

The complexity of these expertly crafted Sour Ales might spur some moments of silence at the brew share. But, that’s okay! The experience will certainly be a memorable one.

With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

Delicious sour. Great flavor, not overly tart. This brewery makes excellent sours.

Great aroma. Fantastic lingering flavors that definitely show off the peach and especially the raspberry. On point sourness for the style.

Huge raspberry in aroma. Quite acidic and tart up front with light peach and raspberry notes on finish. Very enjoyable raspberry linger.

Great balance between the peach and raspberry. Peach really mellows the raspberry

Acidic raspberry peach punch, not bad but all these kettle sours kinda taste similar for me. I miss OG black project.
