A Note on This Beer
You may have been hearing a lot of buzz about Brood X. The massive swarm of 17-year cicadas is a true spectacle of nature, and it’s happening right now, all across the Eastern United States!
If you managed to escape the headlines, you’ve still managed to find the truly good news: Michigan’s Ferndale Project crafted a brand-new, buzzworthy juicebomb just for the occasion!
Its name is Spring Buzz. The brewers made this Imperial New England IPA with a generous double dry-hopping of Strata, Simcoe, and very rarely seen Mackinac for surges of fresh, fruity flavors.
Each luscious sip goes down like a tangerine-mango smoothie, bright and citrusy with tangy tropical sweetness. Let it linger on the tongue, and subtler notes of honeydew, evergreen pine, and dank cannabis pop in for extra refreshment.
Seeing all the cicadas right now might be scary for some, but they’re perfectly harmless. Plus, we’re witnessing one of the largest mass migrations in nature!
If nothing else, today’s 9.4% ABV hopjuice can at least give you some peace of mind, amidst the constant murmur of those funny little bugs, right?
Ferndale Project may be just over a year old, but local hazeheads give every single one of their NE-style IPAs 4+ ratings on Untappd!
